REAR SUSPENSION COMPONENTS

This is the suspension modification we've all been waiting for! B.C. Broncos continues its trend of introducing innovative products to improve the performance of the Early Bronco. These leaf relief spring pivots are the next step for those who seek extreme articulation and off-road performance.

The B.C. Spring Rocker is a pivoting spring perch that relieves the natural bind that occurs in a stock leaf spring rear when the axle housing is in articulation (out of parallel with the truck chassis). These are manufactured exclusively for B.C. Broncos from our patented design, from high quality materials. The kit includes 2 B.C. Spring Rockers   u-bolts and all hardware needed for installation.    

NOTE: B.C. Spring Rockers will add about 2.5" of lift to the rear of your Bronco. Choose the rest of your suspension components accordingly to get the desired results.

	HERE IS HOW THEY WORK

With the recent advances in Early Bronco suspension technology, the stock shock mounts are becoming increasingly useless for long travel. For the rear, moving the shocks inboard of the frame rails allows you to get more travel before the shocks bind. This inboard shock hoop from Cross Enterprises is designed to give you virtually unlimited travel! This unit should be welded on but can be bolted on with drilling. With multiple mounting points, shock position is fully adjustable for different lifts. Kit comes complete with weld-on lower shock mounts and hardware.

Don't be fooled by Cheep copies from other competitors. The Cross enterprises inboard shock hoop mounts between the frame rails just in front of the rear axle. It provides 3 mounting places for the top of the shock. Because you mount the shocks with the bolts facing front to rear you can get more travel from the shocks. With the stock mounting the bolt goes from left to right witch causes the bushing to bind and if flexed more will bend the shock or tear the eyelet off.  Because both ends of the shock mount use eyelet mounts you have a larger selection of shocks lengths.

You are looking at the new BC Broncos 2.5" leaf springs. All of the BCB leaf springs are 9 leaf spring packs. We designed these leaf spring packs with 9 slightly thicker leaves than the 11 pack leaves. Each leaf is slightly stiffer than the thinner leafs but there are less of them. The end result is that the 9 leaf pack is a little firmer than the 11 leaf pack for better on road handling yet still works great off road. The 9 leaf pack is American make. It has poly pads between each leaf. Two leaf retainers on each end. 3/8" centering bolt and the front has the military rap. The leafs are sold per pair.

These heavy duty u-bolts are 9/16" fine thread the stock ones were 1/2". These u-bolt are also longer to accommodate thicker springs, yet they can still be used with the stock spring plates.

These lube able bolts are a great upgrade when installing new leaf springs, The Spring & Shackle bolts come drilled and have zirks so you can lube the bushings, they help keep the bushings from squeaking and they last longer. We have two different kits, the first kit is for stock and comes with 4 X 5/8 and 2 X 9/16 and the other is for our heavy duty shackles 6 X 5/8.

Our 18 pc polyurethane spring and shackle bushing kit comes with all of the bushings to install new spring. The kits come in blue and black.

The HD shackle is made of heavier 1/4" steel and uses a larger 5/8 shackle bolt and comes with the bushing so be sure to let us know if you are also ordering the    greasable shackle bolts. Sold individually.

Lifted Broncos may suffer excessive wear or breakage to drive shafts, yokes and U-joints. Its a good idea to rotate your rear axle housing to correctly adjust the pinion angle for normal operation. This is done by grinding off the stock spring perches and welding new ones on with the pinion at the desired angle. These perches are formed from one piece of 1/4" steel not a few parts welded together

You need bump stops without a dought but what kind of bump stops do you need? If you measure and set up your shocks correctly you should only need stock type bump stops. Manny many places will tell you that if you put on a lift then you also need taller bump stops. But if you set up your shocks right and want to get more flex then just run stock bump stops. Bump stops insure that you will not bottom out and smack the rear axle on the frame.

We have found that when you put a tall bump stop on and hit a good sized dip in the street at a good speed the tall bump stops blow out or tare out of the mount, Just think what they do in Baja.

With so many suspension mods out there you can get more flex than your drive shaft can handle without snapping the centering pin out of it. You can get a long travel drive shaft and clearance it but you can't avoid the fact that your limiting factor is your drive shaft  This is where the limiting strap comes in, just weld on a tab or bolt it to a exesting bracket so that when the front end drops out the limiting straps keep it from dropping too far and breaking the drive shaft. This is the best way to get the most flex while insuring you will not destroy your drive shaft.
