The Ford disc brake kit for the D44 was the best set up on the market and was just recently reproduced by the after market for the first time. This set up came on the 75-77 Early Bronco and they used two different knuckles. They also came on 72-79 F150 and 78-79 big Bronco. The Ford disc knuckles are bigger and stronger than the Ford drum knuckle. Both knuckles use the same ball joints but that is the only thing that is the same. On the drum knuckle you attach the spindle to the knuckle with bolts, the disc knuckle has studs to slip the spindle on to.

The Ford disc brake kit for the D44 was the best set up on the market and was just recently reproduced by the after market for the first time. The Ford disc knuckles are bigger and stronger than the Ford drum knuckle. The new knuckles and caliper brackets are cast from Nodular Iron stronger than when Ford cast them. When they cast the knuckles they also moved the steering arm up to be the same height as the stock knuckle then ream the hole for the tie-rod from the top or the bottom so you can go stock or tie rod over. This kit comes with everything in the picture featuring Timken bearings, Spicer ball joints and the bigger T-bird calipers. You can also opt for having the ball-joints installed so you can just bolt the kit on your Dana 44

| You have two size options
with the Ford front disc brake kit the first being stock 73-79 Bronco and
for the F-150 (2-7/8), The second is the T-bird caliper 3-7/64. The front
brakes provide 70% of your braking power so if you can put a bigger front
caliper on you will get better stopping power, you can also usually avoid
extra unnecessary parts like a proportion valve because with the bigger
calipers in the front this usually balances your brake system. This is
especially good when upgrading to rear disc brakes most rear calipers are
much bigger than the old drum brake wheel cylinders. These front calipers
are the best upgrade for the money. Our caliper kits come with 2 calipers,
2 hardware kits, 2 stainless steel caliper lines, 2 banjo bolts and a set
of pads.

These extreme duty ball joints stood up to the test of
Baja. We ran a test during the 2007 Baja 1000 to see which ball joint set
held up best. On the left we used the extreme duty upper and lower and
on the right we used the standard duty upper and lower and the results were
amazing. In the race we made it 1096 miles and when we got home and
inspected the ball joints we found that the set on the left (extreme
duty) were still good but the ones on the right ( standard duty) were
completely wore out. Now granted 1000 miles in Baja is Brutal and normal
guys will never see half the stress or air that we put these ball joints
through, that is why we still sell the standard ball joints as well as the
extreme ones. Bad ball joints can cause lots of steering and tire ware
problems, it is cheaper to take the knuckles off and have them pressed in at
a machine shop or if you have a ball joint install tool kit
( P/N 93-10111 ) you can install them your self.

| These ball joints are standard duty replacement
ball joints for Dana 44 front ends. Bad ball joints can cause lots of steering
and tire ware problems, it is cheaper to take the knuckles off and have them
pressed in at a machine shop or if you have a ball joint install tool kit
