BC BRONCOS NEW SOFT TOP

After years of design and many prototypes we now have a top that we would like to have on our Broncos. With this new top you can use stock type door rubber to seal stock doors or any door that will seal against the stock top, this is not just some cheap rod but an actual frame with a rain gutter. The whole frame is strong enough to hold a roof rack with a considerable amount of weight. The roof rack mounting brackets are welded to every frame for this future upgrade. You have 20 different colors to choose from or you can mix and match colors for a cool unique look. The top comes with removable clear windows but you can upgrade to dark tint. If you look closely you will see that the rear of the top has the same slope as the stock top and the windows follow that same line. Because of the way we designed the frame, it allowed us to not have a bar going through the side window giving a cleaner look. When installing the top we used factory windshield and bed side holes to hold the top in place but on the tailgate you will need to drill 5 small screw holes on the inside to mount the Stainless Steel tail gate lip protector.

THE FRAME WORK

The frames are made of 1" X 2" square tubing and we use short 1" round tubing for the bows that cross from side to side this gives the frame the strength to hold a roof rack yet the side windows do not have a tube going down through obstructing your view. The frame work around the door actually makes a good seal and uses the factory door rubber.

 

Here you see the frame that the upholstery shop uses to test fit the fabric.

All of the frames are TIG welded for strength. We also weld in anti-crush sleeves to insure the mounting bolts will not collapse when tightened.

 

 
 
THE FABRIC

TOP GUN is a 62" wide 11 ounce 100% woven polyester fabric with an acrylic coating. TOP GUN is a rugged fabric known for its superior strength, excellent abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, and an exceptionally high degree of water repellency. TOP GUN is also ultra-violet and mildew resistant. It is used extensively for boat tops, mooring covers, travel covers, and any other exterior marine application where protection from the elements is paramount. This fabric is available in 20 long lasting colors.

This fabric is the best we have found for this type of application. The other top we helped design was made of Sunbrella and did not hold up to the sun or water and once it got dust on it you could never keep it clean. This fabric is far superior in all of those areas.

  

When we took this picture we had half of the Bronco in the shop and half outside to illustrate how the fabric lights up in the sun making it light inside even with tented windows.

THE WINDOWS
 

   

As you can see looking through the side window they are as clear as can be.

The tinted windows are much darker yet from the inside not as hard to see out.

All items returned to B.C. Broncos which were originally paid for by credit card are subject to a 10% restocking fee.

SHIPPING POLICY
Please note: B.C. Broncos will not pay premium shipping for any reason. We will ship next day, same day, 3 day or any other premium shipping method that you like but you will have to pay the cost and take the risk that it will get to you when you want it and that it is what you wanted. We will do our best to get what you want to you when you want it. But premium shipping is extra work for us that we are doing for you as a favor and we make no money on any shipping and will not  refund shipping if things do not turn out the way you expected.
